He held the m16 in trembling hands, knowing he had to do what must be done,
The defiling of his child had, for him and her, forever dampened the joys of the rising sun,
The two young men who supposedly didn't deserve this horrible fate,
Ah yes, there dispicable actions had filled the poor girl's father with a loathing hate,
He despised what they'd done to his innocent child,
And the never-ending hurt in his heart was certainly not mild,
So he hid in the basement of the old court house,
Trying to be silent as a mouse,
Waiting for his much needed break,
So he could avenge there deeds, for poor Tanya Haley's sake.
This poem was inspired by John Grishams book, A time to kill.
I like it
...perhaps you'll continue on with this writing... were the deeds for Tanya Haley's sake avenged....???
That's really good. Thanks for posting it.
I'm glad you finally wrote something hun, and I like it!
Thanks, all. Yes, I'll continue it. And yes, Connie, Tanya was certainly avenged, though it didn't turn out that well for Carl. That's her father, btw. Thanks again, all.
Yeahness for Poet and his continuing on...*smile

In carl's case...
Having your daughtor raped isn't exactly "well," but he was acquitted of the murders in court IIRC.
